"The Brown Lady" of Raynham Hall

This photo was taken in 1936 at Raynham Hall in Norfolk, England. This portraint "The Brown Lady" is arguably the most famous and well regarded ghost photograph ever taken. The world is thought to be Lady Dorothy Townshend, wife of Charles Townshend, 2nd Viscount of Raynham, residents Raynham Hall in Norfolk, England in early 1700. It was rumored that Dorothy, before her marriage to Charles, who had a mistress Lord Wharton. Charles suspected Dorothy of infidels. Although according to legal records she was buried in 1726, he suspected that the funeral was a who pretend to be and Charles had locked his wife died in a distant corner of the house until she died several years later.

His Favorite Chair
Remember how Archie Bunker liked his recliner so much that he never let anyone else sit in it?Well, ol 'Archie does not have anything on Lord Combermere. Having run over by a horse-drawn carriage he died in 1891. A photographer set up the camera with the shutter open for one hour in the library environment while the entire staff had quit in the Lord Combermere from the funeral, some four miles. If the plate is developed, the amazing images of what looks to be a head arm and sat in a chair immediately noticed. Many staff said that the picture looks very late as the master, and happened to be sitting in your favorite chair in the library of Combermere.

Freddy Jackson's Comeback
Freddy Jackson was a mechanic in the Royal Air Force in World War I. Freddy Jackson's squadron served onboard the HMS Daedalus. Freddy Jackson was killed in 1919 when an airplane propeller hit him. Two days later when the troops gathered for a group photo, Freddy Jackson faithfully showed up, grinning behind the ear of a fellow comrade. Guess nobody watching send to Freddy Jackson that he was dead. His face has been widely known in this photo by members of the army.

Darn Backseat Drivers!

In 1959 Mable Chinnery went to the cemetery to visit her grave, as a devoted daughter is right thing to do. He took some photos of the gravesite and then turned and took this picture myself sitting in her passenger seat. The film was developed and came out: somebody sitting in the backseat wearing glasses, clear as day. Mother Chinnery swore that the "backseat driver" was none other than his own mother ... the gravesite she was standing next to when he took a picture! Hmmmm ... who stayed late husband and mother-in-law saw over his shoulder: there's a joke in here, I just knew.

What Do You Want On Your Tombstone?

Back in 1996 Ike Clanton took this photo of a friend wearing western clothes, in the middle of Tombstone's Boothill cemetery. They vowed that no other than when they see this picture made. In addition, some time later they tried to restage this picture with someone standing in the place that "mystery man" appears in the background. Ike Clanton said that the It is impossible to take pictures like that and not show one of the rear legs. Clanton said he was not so sure about Tombstone is haunted, but this photo made a believer of him. There's so much ghostly activity that occurs in the famous town of Clanton is making a special section to the site dedicated to Tombstone from this population. Well worth checking out, if nothing else than for the historical meaning of this excellent website convey.
Come On Baby, Light My Fire

Of all the ghost photos I've seen (well, except for the one that I can not show this), this is a hands-down the most dread. Most are too disturbing. I do not know about this until a few months ago. Almost ten years ago, on November 19, 1995, Wem Town Hall in Shropshire, England has been engulfed in flames and burned to the ground. As firefighters tried to evade the damn town, Tony O'Rahilly, took pictures from all over the road using telephoto lens on the camera. There, instead of one clearly in the photo, which looks very much to become a little girl standing in the doorway, with the brightness of the flames behind him. No one ever remembered there was a little girl who comes in place, much less close proximity to a fire. Original photographs and negatives that led to the images that experts determined that the image is 100% authentic: "The obvious negative is part of the black and white and shows no signs that have been modified by." Okay, so what's a girl ghost doing in such a big fire? Either in a fire in 1677 destroyed many of Wem wooden houses. The fire is said to have caused the 14-year girl named Jane Churm, who had been careless with candles. Churm died in the fire along with several others, and her ghost is still said to haunt the region. Is there anything as ghosts or not, it should say: "if this is just a trick, an illusion of smoke and fire that happened to be captured in the film, it's a zillion-to-one coincidence that just happens to come in the form of a girl who also died in a fire at the same location. But hey, stranger things than that happen in this world, right?

Ghost of Bachelor's Grove Cemetery, Chicago
This photo was taken during the investigation of Bachelor's Grove Cemetery near Chicago by the Ghost Research Society (GRS). On August 10, 1991 several members of the GRS were at the funeral, which left little garveyard in The Edge of Rubio Woods forest preserve, near the suburb of Midlothian, Illinois. Good name to become one of the most haunted cemeteries in the U.S., Bachelor's Grove has a good site for more than 100 reports of strange phenomena, including apparitions, unexplained sights and sounds, and even glowing balls of light. When developed, this image emerged: what looks like a lonely looking woman dressed in white sitting on a tombstone. Part of her body she most tranparent and style of clothing that looks dated.

"And the sea gave up the dead which were in it..."
I first saw this picture more than twenty years ago. It was the first "ghost photo" I've come and still wigs me out to look at it. In 1924 James Courtney and Michael Meehan, the two crewmen from the tanker SS Watertown, who accidentally killed by gas fumes while cleaning a cargo tank. The crew of Watertown - on the way to the Panama Canal from New York City - two sailors buried at sea off the coast of Mexico. That on December 4. On December 5th the first mate reported that the face of Courtney and Meehan has appeared in the water on the side of the boat harbor. For several days every member of the crew watched his face appear and disappear, including the skipper. When he reported this to the supervisors after docking in New Orleans, he suggested that he try to photograph the face. Captain Keith Tracy bought a camera and the ship was soon running again. Quite sure, appear on the face, and Tracy took six pictures, then secured the camera in the boat pole. The camera was not removed until he was taken to a commercial developer after docking in New York City. Five of the photos showed nothing unusual, but the sixth clearly showed what was said to be the face of two crewmen dead. There is no evidence of fraud or disruption of the film has ever been found. Front stop appearing after a new crew was brought aboard the Watertown.

The Newby Church Monk
Honorable K.F. God took a picture of the altar in the church in North Yorkshire, England (why is the GOOD ghosts always found in the UK?) And this is what comes out. And negative images that say have been studied carefully by experts and photographs they could find no evidence that this is one double exposure, or artificially altered. The "thing" is calculated will stand nine feet tall, and can not find one out of every note monk who had been a humongous Newby in the Church. Who is it? What is it? Trick of light or something else? Either way it's way too creepy to not mention on this list.

Ghost Child at Cemetery
A woman named Mrs. Andrews was visiting her son's grave Joyce, who died at 17. Andrews saw something unusual when she took this photo of Joyce's gravemarker. When the film was developed, Mrs. Andrews was astonished to see the picture a child happily sitting at her from the grave. The world seems to recognize the child's mother ever since he saw Andrews directly into the camera. Is it possible to double the exposure? Mrs. Andrews said there are no such children were nearby when she took photograh and no longer recognize the child at all. He is no one he had taken from photograh. She remarked that she did not believe it is the ghost of his son as a child.

London's St. Botolph's Chruch Ghost
In 1982, photographer Chris Brackley took pictures interior of London's St. Botolph of the Chruch, but what he never expected to appear in the film. High in the Church of the cage, looking at the top right corner of photogarph him, is a form of transparent like what a woman.According to Brackley, to the knowledge of only three people in the church today photograh taken, and none of those in the cage.

Church Minister Ghost

According to Brad Steiger's Real Ghosts, restless spirits and haunted places, where this picture was discovered, there is only one other photographer in the church next to the person who took this picture. Neither of them recalled seeing ghost or flesh and blood person standing there who could account for this image. Since all the images in black, has theorized that the apparition may be that of the churuch minister.

Grandfather Ghost Standing Behind Grandmother

"The lady in the color photograph of my grandmother," he said. "She lived alone until the age of 94, when he began to weaken the mind and should be moved to the assisted living home for his own safety. At the end of the first week, there was a picnic for the residents and their families. My mother and sister attended. My sister took a picture The two-day, and this is one of them. He was taken on Sunday, 8/17/97, and we think he is the man behind my grandfather who died on Sunday, 8 / 14/84. We do not see man in the picture until Christmas Day, 2000 (granny had passed since), while browsing through some loose family photos at my parents' house. sisters as I think a very good picture granny that she even to make copies of mom, but still, not seen those behind him for more than three years! When I arrived at my parents' house that Christmas day, my sisters drawing my hand and said, "Do you think the man behind granny like? "It took several seconds to enter the sink I was really quiet. The black and white photos show that she really like him."I do not have what might be a ghost's photograph to attest this is true: if you're in love with someone special, will not stop you do not with that person. But it's pretty nice still get a real confirmation of once in every awhile ..

Railroad Crossing Ghost in San Antonio, Texas
A Strange legends surrounding a railroad crossing of San Antonio, Texas. At the intersection of highway and railraod songs, so the story went, was one of the tragic accident in which several school-aged children were killed - but their ghosts still live in a place and will push idled cars on track, despite the uphill road. Andy and Debi Chesney's daughter and some friends had just the crossing to test the legend, and he took some pictures. Inexplicably, a strange, transparent figure on one photo.
